Pyramid Holiday Park Tweed Heads - Pet Friendly Conditions
Your assistance in following these conditions will allow us to continue to provide sites for guests travelling with their family pets. The following information is provided regarding the law in NSW applying to pet owners together with the Park’s own conditions under which we accept pets.
The Law

In NSW the Companion Animals Act regulates the responsible ownership of pets. Some of the main requirements are:
Pets, with the exception of assistance animals are prohibited from the following areas (whether or not they are leashed or otherwise controlled)
a) Children’s play areas
b) Food preparation/consumption areas
c) Public swimming pool areas
When in public places, the animal must be attached to an adequate chain, cord or leash but is exempt if secured in a cage or vehicle, or is in an approved off-leash area. Pet owners must also pick up and dispose of the animals faeces immediately.
Park Rules**
- Management must approve pets first
- One pet per site, unless prior approval
- Sites may not be available over shoulder and peak seasons
- Pets are only permitted on designated powered ensuite sites and are not allowed in or near cabins
- Pets must always be restrained by hand or tied up in your site with the maximum lead not exceeding more than 2 metres
- Noisy or aggressive behaviour (from pets or owners’) will not be accepted.
- Pet faeces are to be disposed of immediately in a plastic bag in the red-lidded garbage bin
- Please do not go out and leave your pet unattended
- Pets are prohibited from all park buildings including reception/kiosk, games room, cabins, amenities, laundries, ensuite, camp kitchen, playground, pool area and BBQ areas
- Pets may be walked directly to and from the park entrance. We have a leash free area within the park. There are also leash free dog reserves located in Ducat Street, Boyd’s Family Park and Tweed Heads West. There is a leash free beach located off Murphy’s Road, Kingscliff
- The Park may end your stay at any time if our conditions are not fully observed. The park will determine this at its absolute discretion
